About Champion Ballroom

Robert and Jennifer Foster have a passion for Ballroom and Latin dance. Helping people learn the fun and excitement that learning to dance can bring is their greatest joy. As teachers of competition students, they have helped produce more amateur, pro-am and professional U. S. finalists and champions than anyone in Minnesota.

The Fosters have competed professionally in over 250 competitions since they began dancing together in 1986. Placing 1st over 100 times in professional competition, their national rankings also include the 1995, 2000 and 2001 United States Professional Theatrical Dance Sport Championship. They were also 4 time U. S. Professional Rhythm and Cabaret Finalists, 2 time Blackpool Cabaret Finalists, World Professional Cabaret Finalists and the 1998 WorldDance Champions. Along with these accomplishments the Fosters are one of the only couples in the U.S. to be professional finalists in three divisions at one time.

A well known dance couple in the United States,  Robert and Jennifer have been a featured couple on PBS's Championship Ballroom Dancing, ESPN, Goodlife TV, NBC as well as numerous television commercials, local television appearances and a stage production called ‘I Won’t Dance’ at the Ordway Theater in St. Paul. Robert's award winning choreography can be seen all over the U.S.

Robert and Jennifer look forward to welcoming you to their studio. Whether you want to dance socially or to try competition dancing, their studio, Champion Ballroom, is created with your dance goals in mind.

The Fosters are also National Adjudicators, national coaches and choreographers, certified with Terpsichore and are members of the National Dance Council of America.
