Bill Spalding

Bill has been dancing at Champion Ballroom since 1997. Bill was pretty proficient in the ‘Lindy’ when he came to the studio, having danced the ‘Lindy’ with his wife when they were dating. Bill’s brush with greatness came when he had a private lesson from the one and only Arthur Murray back in the 50’s!

After Bill’s wife passed, he decided to try dancing again. It took him a couple of tries before he found the right instructor, which he found in Jennifer Foster. Together, he and Jennifer championed many solo events at dance competitions around the US with a spectacular Lindy routine danced to ‘Sing, Sing, Sing’.

Along the way, Bill also became quite proficient in a variety of other dances, reaching the Silver level has and enjoyed traveling to competitions with Jennifer and other Champion Ballroom students. Bill has also been an indispensable part of Champion Ballroom by providing endless hours of help cleaning and painting!
