Salsa dance lessons Merengue is a quick paced, easy dance for Latin music. Merengue always sounds like a party! This is a great beginner’s dance because the patterns are not complicated. It’s also a great dance to develop Cuban hip motion.

It is danced in a relatively small area but can also move across the floor as the partners chassez.
